‘Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim’.
‘Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmath Ullahi Wa Barkatahu’.

Abu Hatim (Allah be pleased with him) said:
‘The Intelligent one must adhere to salvation by staying away from probing
into the faults of people,
and instead should preoccupy himself
with his own faults.

Surely, whoever preoccupies himself with his own faults instead of the faults of others,
will find peace and relaxation in his being and his heart will not be exhausted {!}

Whenever he looks to his faults and errors,
then the similar faults of his brother
will be easy for him to bear {!}
However, whoever preoccupies himself with the faults of others instead of his own…
then his Heart (‘Qalb’) will become Blind…
he will become tired out and he will forget his own shortcomings.
The weakest of people is the one who criticizes others for what is in them,
and the weakest from amongst them is… ?
the one who criticizes others for what is also
within himself {!}

And …?
whoever criticizes others, will be criticized by them.’
Truthful was he who said:
‘If you rebuke others, they’ll rebuke you
and do so more!
And then what was hidden within you,
will be on show.

Someone once said in some statement of the past,
A word containing wisdom and beauty so vast :
If ever you mention people,
then leave behind their errors
For there is no error, except that yours can be said
If you criticize a people for what is not within them
Then that is mighty in the Sight of Allah
and also men,
And if you criticize them for what is also within you
…Then how can the one-eyed rebuke
the one-eyed too….. ?

And how can people be criticized by someone who
His faults are worse when all faults are diffused?
When you look for other’s defects, you shall indeed find them…
But remember that what is in you is far greater than them
So grant peace to the people, and leave them to themselves
For they can see your errors more than you can see yourself.’
Al-Shaybani mentioned that, “It is written in the Books that:
‘As you treat others, you shall be treated,

AHAD!AHAD! BILAL (Radhiyallaho ‘Anho) Steadfastness Rewarded!}~ {Heart Wrenching!}

image

sujud

Bilal (Radhiyallaho Anho) is one of the Best known of the galaxy of Sahabah as Moazzin of the Prophet’s (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) Masjid.

He was an Abyssinian slave of a disbeliever in Mecca.
His conversion to Islam was, naturally, not liked by his master and he was, therefore, persecuted mercilessly.
Ummayah bin Khalaf, who was the worst enemy of Islam, would make him lie down on the burning sand at midday and would place a heavy stone on his breast, so that he could not even move a limb.

He would then say to him:

“Renounce Islam or swelter and die.”

Even under these afflictions,
Bilal (Radhiyallaho Anho) would exclaim:

“Ahad”~The One~Allah !
“Ahad”~The One ~Allah !

He was whipped at night and with the cuts thus received, made to lie on the burning ground during the day to
make him either forsake Islam or to die a lingering
death from wounds {!}
The torturers would get tired and take turns…
(Abu Jahl, Umayyah and others)
and would vie with one another in afflicting more and more painful punishment…
but Bilal (Radhiyallaho Anho) would not yield {!}
At last Abu Bakr (Radhiyallaho Anho) bought his freedom, and he became a free Muslim… !

As Islam taught implicitly the oneness of the Almighty Creator, while the idolaters of Mecca believed in many gods and goddesses with minor godlings, therefore Bilal (Radhiyallaho anho) repeated:

“Ahad (The One), Ahad (The One).”

This shows his love and devotion to Allah. Allah was so dear to him that no amount of persecution could distract him from reciting His Holy name. It is said that the urchins of Mecca would drag him in the streets, with his words “Ahad!… Ahad!” ringing in their wake.

Look how Allah rewarded his steadfastness!
He was to have the honour of becoming the
Prophet’s Moazzin…
He was always to remain with him at home and abroad to call out the Azaan for his Shalat.

After the Prophet’s death it became very hard for him to continue his stay in Madinah where he would miss him at every step and in every corner.
He therefore left Madinah, and decided to pass the rest of his life striving in the path of Allah. Once he beheld the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) in his dream saying to him:-

“O, Bilal! How is it that you never visit me.”

No sooner did he get up than he set out for Madinah. On reaching there, Hadhrat Hasan and Hadhrat Husain (Radhiyallaho anhuma) ~
The Prophet’s (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam’s grandsons) requested him to call out the Azaan.
He could not refuse them, for they were very dear to him. But as soon as the Azaan was called, the people of Madinah cried openly out of their anguish at the memory of the happy old days of the Prophet’s (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) time. Even the women came out of their houses weeping… !
Bilal (Radhiyallaho Anho) left Madinah again after a few days and died in Damascus in 20 A.H.

Notes:-The great devotee and Muazzin of PROPHET( SALLALLAHO ‘ALAIHE WASALLAM)
the courageous and beloved Abyssinian by the name of Hazrat Bilal Habshi (Radhiyallaho Anho)
passed away in the middle of reading Azan in Damascus, Syria between the years 638 and 642 (AD).
This was the second time after the death of PROPHET that BILAL~( Radhiyallaho Anho) recited the Azan.

…MY ‘SALAAMS’ TO YOU ALL…

Don’t issue an alert letter – A Must Read!

View from Eiffel

“Caution: There is Another anti-Islamic Site There”
Why issuing an alert letter is precisely the wrong thing to do?

(By Khalid Baig)

The alert letters keep coming. Beware here is the latest anti-Islamic site. Then a URL so you can verify that it is indeed as described. Then a passionate request to tell all the Muslims in the world about it.

Sincere. Misguided. Counter-productive.

Little do the senders realize that they are actually helping the very sites they are trying to fight.

The failure is in realizing that the Internet is a very different medium and the rules that applied to the previous media do not always apply here. If there is a bad magazine or book out there, you can tell others about it. We can be sure that nobody will rush to the closest bookseller to buy it. The warning may be useful, if there was a chance that some people could have bought the book out of ignorance.

In the click-click world of the Internet, the first thing most people will do is to click on the URL, thereby increasing the hit counts and boasting the morale of the site owners. Second, it will help it with search engine placement, as some of them will use the increased curiosity traffic as a sign of popularity. You just helped create the monster you wanted to fight!

It is common sense. If you don’t want people to visit a site, just don’t tell them about it.

It is very easy to setup a page on the Internet. It is very difficult to draw traffic to it. The most anti-Islamic site will die if it faces a frozen counter. That would happen if you just leave it alone. But if you are out there telling everyone about it and asking them to do the same, you are in effect volunteering as their publicity department. That is exactly what they need.

If there is a well-established site (like CNN) it makes sense to launch a protest campaign. But for most of the sites the prudent course is just the opposite. Leave it alone. Let it die of neglect. A natural death. The greater the lack of attention, the faster will be the death of this would be monster.

So the next time you receive an alert letter about an anti-Islamic site, just delete it. If you respond to the sender, do not include the original text of his alert email, because even that may help some search engine ranking.

There were dozens of anti-Islamic sites that sprang up recently but died soon after because, luckily, our enthusiasts had not noticed them and had not publicized them through their alert letters. The ones that receive the alert letter mention will, unfortunately, survive and may thrive.

On the Internet, the best use of your energies is to promote the good Islamic sites. Let the good drive out the evil.

Now, may we request that you send this article to all your friends?

Remember! “Let’s focus with our good deeds, never wasting time and energies for useless things.” (@bidadari_azzam)

The Black Clouds of Fitnah are Closing in upon us

image

Assalamu’alaykum warohmatullohi wabarokatuh….

The Black Clouds of Fitnah are Closing in upon us
– by Mufti Zubair Bayat
The teachings of Nabi (sallallahu-alayhi-wasallam) were comprehensive in every respect. Not only did he teach about the past and present, but also about the future. So accurate and precise were his sayings regarding the future, that year for year and day for day, we see so many of his words coming true right before our very eyes. Many predictions have already occurred, and many are still to come. But just as we expect the sun to rise tomorrow morning, nay, even more, should be our conviction regarding the rest of his future predictions.
Among the major predictions of Nabi (sallallahu-alayhi-wasallam) was the appearance and prevalence of fitnahs that will afflict mankind. Certain Sahabah (RA), such as Hazrat Huzaifah(RA) specialised in this subject, and had such vast knowledge of this subject, that at times he would say, if I had to mention certain things, this throat (pointing to his throat) would be slit.
EXAMPLES OF FITNAH
Fitnahs have been explained by way of two examples in the Hadith. One example is like that of rain, “Fitnahs shall fall upon your homes like the falling of rain.” Another example given is like that of a black night, “There shall be fitnahs like a part of a black night …” In these examples, the salient aspect mentioned of fitnah is the all- pervasiveness of its nature, that none shall escape it but a few, just as it is difficult to escape the rain. Furthermore, it will be dark and black in colour, indicating to its ominous nature and the inability to see ones way through it like a
person groping in the dark, which is what happens to most people during the era of fitnah.
WHAT IS FITNAH
Fitnah is an Arabic word, which literally refers to the smelting of gold ingots and removing the impurities from it, i.e. separating the good from the bad. This is what happens during a fitnah, the good is separated from the bad. So in this sense, it refers to a test, or event, or a crisis or calamity, that shows the result openly as to who is good and who is not, who succeeds and who shall fail.
TYPES OF FITNAH
There are a variety of fitnahs facing the Ummah. Among the greatests of fitnahs is that of Irtitaad or apostasy, where many who were born Muslim are turning away from Imaan, knowingly or unknowingly. This is predicted as a great fitnah in the very Hadith that enlikens fitnah to a black night, “…. a man will be a Mumin in the morning and a Kaafir (disbeliever) by the evening, and a Mumin in the evening and a Kaafir in the morning.” These days, the instance of people uttering outright statements of kufr is increasing alarmingly, and many do not even realise the grave implications of this. May Allah protect our Imaan and that of our generations to come.
Another fitnah is that of liberalism and hedonism, where material wealth and objects and the gratification of desires and self- aggrandizement becomes the very goal and purpose of a human being’s existence. Regarding this fitnah, Nabi (sallallahu-alayhi- wasallam) warned, “When you see greed being pursued, and desires being obeyed, and the world being preferred (over the Hereafter), and every person proud of his own opinion, then worry about yourself (personal salvation) and do not worry about others.” More and more, the prevalence of this fitnah is manifesting in the world. Today, it is all about what car you drive, where you go for vacation, how much of wealth you own, etc.
The disunity and division of the Ummah and the resultant strife, bloodshed and oppression is another example of fitnah. The lesser that is said about this the better, for never has this Ummah, which was supposed to be like a single human body, been as divided and fragmented as it is these days. Whether on an international scale, between Muslim countries and their leaders, or on a national, regional, local level, right down to organisations, families and even homes, there is division and disunity all round. May Allah unite the hearts.
Technology has brought about many fitnahs, such as the fitnah of the internet, mxit, cellphones, computer games, videos, etc. Then there is the fitnahs of drug and substance addiction, illicit sexual relations, divorces, music, satanism, social upheaval, crime, etc.
These are some examples of the fitnahs mentioned. There are in fact hundreds of fitnahs that have been mentioned, and whole books have been written on the subject of fitnah titled “Kitab-al-Fitan”, for example the “Al-fitan” of Allamah Miwazi and others.
WHAT TO DO AT THE TIME OF FITNAH
This is the most important issue. Knowing all about the fitnahs is not sufficient. One needs to know how to survive and combat the fitnahs. This has also been mentioned in the Hadith Shareef. Some of the solutions or remedies proposed are as follows:
Stick to the majority body and their leaders as is mentioned in one Hadith. This refers to the mainstream body of the Ummah – the Ahlus-Sunnah-wal-Jama’ah. He who stays aloof, and goes towards the ‘fringes’ is more likely to go astray.
Remain low profile. The Hadith Shareef says: “like the mat on the floor”. A time will come, when the one who is standing will be better off than the one who is walking and the one who is sitting will be better off than the one who is standing and so on.
Every head of every home must work dedicatedly and devotedly for the reformation and
salvation of his own family. The Quran Shareef states: “O Believers, save yourselves and your families from the fire of hell.” And every one is a Shepard responsible for his own flock as is mentioned in a famous Hadith.
Every individual should strive for a strong spiritual condition, which is the only protector against all fitnahs. This will entail, acquiring correct and sufficient basic knowledge, keeping constant company with the pious, reciting the Qur’an and doing Zikrullah regularly and making lots of Dua, along with other good deeds.
Undertake to do Mashwara and Istikharah before undertaking any decision, for in this is great safety and protection, and guidance towards the right path.
May Almighty Allah protect the whole Ummah from every fitnah. We have been taught this Dua in the Hadith Shareef. This is a vital Dua to recite regularly in the dangerous times of fitnah we live in: O Allah! I seek Your protection from all fitnahs, open and subtle.
Aameen, Aameen, Aameen.

Reward Of Feeding A Fasting Person

Doa Ifthaar

Alhamduli’Allahi Rabbil-‘Aalameen

wa-Salaatu wa-Salaamu ‘alaa Ashrafil-Anbiyaa-e-wal-Mursaleen, `Amma Ba’d.

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu.

REWARD OF FEEDING  A FASTING PERSON

PROPHET  (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever feeds the person who is breaking his fast, he will have his reward (for his fasting) without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person.”

[Source:-Al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajah – Classed as Sahih by Sh al-Albaani]

A Lil Note:-

Many ahadith are reported regarding the virtues of providing food for others to break their fast. Feeding others in general brings a great reward to the one who does it.

ALLAH~ (May He be glorified and exalted) states that one of the characteristics of the believers who deserve Paradise is that

they feed others.

ALLAH says :

“And they give food, in spite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to the Miskeen (the poor), the orphan, and the captive, Saying:-

‘We feed you seeking Allah’s Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you.

‘Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislike to it).’

So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadhrah

(a light of beauty) and joy.

And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient”

[Source:-‘Quran’~ Surat ‘Al-Insaan’ 76:8 -A# 12]

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) informed us in the

Hadith above  that whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast will have a reward like his without the fasting person losing any reward.

So during the month of Ramadan (and even during other months) it isvery virtuous and rewarding to feed others who are breaking their fast.

It is also very virtuous and rewarding to feed others in general.

PROPHET (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:-

“You will not enter Paradise until you truly believe and you will not truly believe until you love one another.”

[Source:- Sahih Muslim]

In another narration from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (radi Allahu anhu)

that a man asked the PROPHET  (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam):-

“What is the best thing in Islam?”

PROPHET (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam):-said:-

“Feeding others and giving the greeting of salaam to those whom you know and those whom you do not know.”

(Source:-Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)

Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy upon him) said in al-Fath (1/43):-

“The Hadith (mentioned above) makes the connection between

feeding others and spreading Salaam because this combines good actions in both word and deed, which is perfect good treatment (Ihsaan).

Indeed, this is the best thing that you can do in Islam after the obligatory duties.”

 Fasting will say:
‘O Lord! I prevented him from food, drink and sexual desires during the day.
So, please, accept my intercession for him.’
The Noble Quran will say:
‘O Lord! I prevented him from sleep at night. So, please, accept my intercession for him.’

That is out of faith in the fact that Allaah The Almighty enjoined fasting upon him, and expecting the reward for that fasting from Allaah The Almighty {!}
